Sunbeam Stand Mixer,Die Cast Standing Mixer
I bought this mixer because I had a Sunbeam for 30 + years and it was a great machine, heavy die-cast. However, this one is a real disappointment. The beaters don't exactly touch the bottom of the bowl so some of the ingredients stick to the bottom. Also because the beaters don't touch the bottom, the bowl just turns aimlessly. I have to stand there and guide the bowl around, stop the mixing to scrape the ingredients stuck on the bottom that aren't getting blended in. Even though it says die cast, the stand and mixer are not heavy enough and dance around the counter.

Durable with Excellent Results
My partner purchased my Stand Mixer some over a year ago and it works great. We made a big move for work reasons and it survived! ☺️ This Christmas was a mad house with loads of baking ! I don't expect miracles from my appliances...don't need to. Some extra care goes a long ways! With all the reviews that I did read were 50/50. Well, my review is I'm very happy with my product! Its durable, ample size for my recipes, and great design.
Thank you!

Mixer is Alright
I bought this so I can expand my baking experience. I have to help spin the bowl (to which I did before I purchased a mixer). I find that it is difficult to empty the contents of the bowl because there is no handle. Now if they only put a handle on it or make some sort of attachment that you can snap on after your batter is mixed so you can empty it with ease. That would be awesome. It is quicker than doing it old school by hand I must admit. But I am sure there will be improvements on this product in the future to keep the customers satisfied. Just my thoughts.

Absolute Garbage, Will Not Last Long!
The beater retainer wore out just after a year and Sunbeam will not supply a replacement part. Can't use it if the beaters won't stay in!!! I expected better from a $200 mixer, and will replace with a KitchenAid. Don't make the same mistake I did, spend a little bit more and by a better product with an established reputation.

Disappointed
I was given this as a Mother's Day gift last year and wish I had returned it. I use the bowl with my hand mixer more. The "dough hooks" can't properly mix. I end up having to knead by hand most of the time. The bowl actually lifts off while mixing on any setting higher than 2. I have to constantly scrape down the sides and bottom to make sure everything is actually mixed no matter what goes in. It also gets quite hot when I make bread dough. Very disappointed.

Going to the trash!!!
Beater retainer failed about a year after purchase and the local service depot Listed for my area does not exist anymore. Contacted Sunbeam and they would not send me a replacement part because I had disassembled the mixer. Posted a negative review and got an email from them asking for details about the mixer so they could remedy the problem. Never got a reply back from them... So I just ordered a KitchenAid Artisan mixer for $199.00 CDN off of eBay! :-)

Bowl too big
I have had this mixer for several years and usually use my hand held as this one does not work well. The bowl is too big for most things I mix, the beaters don't even touch the mixture and I have to stop it all the time and scrape the mixture to touch the beaters. Tried to buy a smaller bowl but can't in Canada so this mixer is basically useless to me. The bowl is an awkward shape and not good for mixing. If I had the smaller bowl it would work better.

Great lightweight mixer
I’ve had this mixer for about 5 years now and I love it but for some reason the beaters will not stay in the mixer anymore and they fall out of the holes while I’m blending and will also get jammed because of the attachments not staying in place. It could be the attachments just need to be replaced but we ended up just getting a whole new blender. Other than that I’ve had no issues with it and have loved using it over the years.

Cheap but not great!
This mixer would probably be great if it weren’t for the design of the bowl, it’s almost impossible to mix small amounts, the liquid that you’re trying to mix just spreads out across the wide base of the bowl and the beaters can’t reach it very well. I had a Sunbeam mixer from the 50s that I had the replace with this one and that mixer didn’t have the same problems. It’s sad when things get worse over time instead of better.

Disappointed and money wasted
Bought it in Jun last year. Only used for 5,6 times. Today I took it out to mix a bread dough, it was light dough. However, after a few mins it started the smell, I waited for 20 mins and it smelled again. I stopped it again for 20 mins. Now one of the “hand” isn’t spinning. I guess I paid too much for this machine in the beginning to have this kind of quality. Warranty is off by a month saddly.

Motor labors and smells
Worked fine for the first year for light to medium tasks. I use my KithenAid for bread dough. As luck would have it, now off warranty, the motor labors and speed changes on its own and acrid smell occurs, not the usual ozone smell. I'm not going to bother repairing this one, I will dig out my trusted model 11 and replace the bad capacitor. Should be good for another 75 years!

Worst mixer ever
I am a pastry chef of over 10 years and this is the worst designed mixer I have ever encountered. Trying to bake with it feels like a punishment. The bowl is too big for the attachments, and even softened butter on the lowest setting sends the bowl askew so I have to stand and guide it while it mixes.
It's worse than useless.

Disappointing …
Bought this mixer about 3 to 4 months ago and first time using I went to make meringue for a pie. I whipped the egg whites for at least 20 minutes and couldn’t get them mixed. The machine also got extremely hot so that I had to turn it off. What a waste of money … I have a stand mixer but it won’t even beat egg whites…..

Sub par
Paid too much money for a subpar mixer. Mixer paddles do not go deep enough into the bowl, bowl does not spin on its own even with nudging, each time I wash the bowl water gets trapped in the base and the screws need to be removed to dry it. Should be recalled!! Inferior. Disappointed and would like a replacement.

Don't buy this product!
This stand mixer is not worth the mo
This is not a good stand mixer. The bowl is too big. There is no wire whisk attachment. I have been trying to find a wire whisk, a smaller bowl and other mixing attachments.
There doesn't seem to be any. I barely use it. I mostly use my old handmixer.

Not a great experience
I bought this machine to mix cookie dough and it did not live up to the task. I had to remove the bowl several times and use a wooden spoon or spatula to scrape the sides and mix in the ingredients. It took me longer to make cookie dough with this mixer than if I had done it by hand.

doesn't have the power to mix even sugar cookies, still doing that by hand after using the machine, and forget getting eggs and sugar to cream together :( The beaters dont always fit in and come loose from time to time

Beautiful machine
I just bought this model. I have been looking for a reasonably priced stand mixer for years. I am very pleased with it. It does exactly what I want, which is mix and blend. It has lots of power, lots of settings, and is quite quiet. Love it!

Used today for 1st. time. A bit too big and bulky. Only comes with 1 bowl, which is thin and does not appear to be of good quality. On 1st. use the motor gave off an odor., but that could be from the initial use. Time will tell.

Great mixer, just not long lived
I've had this mixer now just over a year, and it has lots of power, does everything I want, but the motor bearings are already wearing out. Naturally it's out of warranty. Great mixer, just disappointing quality.

Disappointing
Not as sturdy as I expected. Also, the bowl does not turn and I gave to keep stirring ingredients in order to mix well.
Disappointing. Needs a fix or tweet.
