DISAPPOINTED BEYOND WORDS!!!!!
Our Daughter gave us this two Christmases ago, and, tonight while cooking our dinner, started smelling smoke. Looked down only to see that the smoke smell was coming from none other than the Temperature Control unit. I am in my 70's and have been an avid Sunbeam user for well over 60 years, along with my late Mother who would not use anything but Sunbeam products. This makes supper prep so much easier than slaving over a hot stove, trying to get dinner for my invalid husband. What a great DISAPPOINTMENT.

I received this appliance for Christmas 2016. The first feature listed on the box is the large cooking surface. I love making big family breakfasts on Sunday mornings and this is ideal. Christmas morning when cooking breakfast I found that the center of the unit was not heating up. I thought maybe I just hadn't let it warm up enough. I have continued to use it and am finding that I have a great cooking surface if I use the outside area and not the center. So I don't have the full cooking surface, very disappointing.

Got this as a gift. Heats up well on the outsides but poorly in the middle. You get an omelet done on the edges and still liquid in the center.

Great size but doesn't cook evenly
I bought this last year. It's a great size for making French toast and pancakes but other than that it doesn't cook the food evenly. I can now see the heat ring of the element so I know where to place to food now cuz the center of it doesn't cook very well. I bought this cuz it was 4 inches bigger then the standard size ones but I lose more then 4 inches of cooking surface so it's not worth the money or counter space

Temperature control knob
Using this griddle for a small breakfast program at school, we like the large surface area, easy to clean, unfortunately the temp control plug deteriorates after a while, 2-6 months, have to play with it to maintain a good connection, took one apart and she had started to crumble in spots so the integrity of the plug was challenged. Would love to keep the griddle and return 3 plugs if possible

What is the actual temperature??
I'm assuming the LED beside the knob is the current temperature marker. If so, it is horrible. I plugged in the griddle, with it set to, what I presumed as off, and it lit up and got very hot. There are no other markings on the unit so it just a guessing game what temperature you are cooking at.

Good Bang for the Buck!
*I bought my Griddle several years ago and it is still going strong. I love the cooking surface size. Sure the surface deteriorates over time, but this is to be expected for coated surfaces. I definitely recommend this unit and will buy another one when this one fails.

Nice size for the family
I received this as a gift and it a a great size for a family but there are a few issues. The drip tray sides have now broke and the tray is leaking at the handle part. It’s doesn’t heat evenly so the items in the middle take longer to cook.
