The carafe doesn't leak!
I've had this exact model for over three years, and I haven't had a problem with it so far. The carafe doesn't leak when you pour the coffee, the clock and power buttons work well, and it's easy to clean. The only thing that's different from when I bought it, is that the lid that covers the top of the machine is slightly warped on the left side where steam escapes. It doesn't affect the performance of the machine.

Switch broke in two pieces after 7 months of use
We bought this coffee maker 7 months ago and the switch fell out of the machine today into two pieces. Very disappointed in the quality of this product. We had our previous machine (not a SunBeam) for over 15 years.

Works well for a very short time
This coffeemaker made nice coffee but the power switch failed after only a few months. If I had read reviews on the Internet before I bought this I would have seen that this is a very common failure in this model.

Designed to fail
We have bought two of these and both had the same problem. The switch fails after one year of use once per day. The rest of the coffee maker is good but this one thing renders it useless after a year.
