OK toaster - Not as bad as these reviews suggest
We have owned this toaster for several years now. Perhaps we are just used to its quirks, but we don't feel it is a 1-star toaster. I came here looking for the instructions because the Bagel button does not seem to do anything. We liked it due to its size, a four slice toaster only two slices thick.
It does run hot, so we keep it at level 3. It toasts unevenly, so we flip the bread/bagel and toast it again. Plus the bagel button does nothing.
Come to think of it, maybe this is a 1-star toaster! Oh well, we own it now and will keep it till it dies.

Terrible toaster
Had the toaster for almost 6 months, rarely used it because of inconsistency in toasting, it was either not toasted or burnt. Used the toaster last night (10/14/21) and the toaster malfunctioned and is now permanently stuck on and won’t turn off even after unplugging

Terrible
Don’t recall where we bought this, must have been over a year ago though. We are gone 6 months in Winter so not heavily used. It got harder and harder to push lever down until it catches and starts to toast. Today I decided to take it apart. Nope, it was built with strange 3 sided screw heads so that is impossible. I tried many many times to toast a slice of bread. Toaster refused to start. Fed up. It was not cheap, bought it to go with new kitchen. Dead after short life. Shame on Sunbeam.

Toasts badly, DANGER sharp edges danger to fingers
I got this toaster about a month ago and it has been disappointing. It will burn the edges of a slice of bread on one end, and barely toast on the other. If you try to change the dial to adjust, it will either burn or do nothing. WARNING, if you need to pick up the toaster to empty the crumb tray, the slot edges are super sharp and it sliced three of my fingers at once ... there goes my typing productivity for a couple of days...

doesn't toast evenly
have had this toaster for a while and came here to see what other people were saying about it. Seems everyone says the same thing - it doesn't toast the bottom half of the bread. If you leave it longer the top burns but the bottom remains untoasted.

Terrible toaster
I see we are not the only ones that hate this toaster, awful product and big price. Burns the edges, toasts nothing else, settings change nothing. Poor poor product Sunbeam and shameful you haven't recalled it or turfed it.

Great toaster
I am on my second one, as I have my first one to my kids. I love this toaster. I've had mine now for about 7.5 years and still going strong.
I like the sleek design and how little space it takes up.
